Dear all,
I ran Latent Class Analysis with covariates, the dependent and independent variables in the model are binary coded. Is it possible to calculate the marginal effects or elasticity of the parameters? I ran bootstrap estimation as well.
Thanks in advance for your help.

- This forum is for questions related to the use of Apollo. We will answer some general choice modelling questions too, where appropriate, and time permitting. We cannot answer questions about how to estimate choice models with other software packages.
- There is a very detailed manual for Apollo available at http://www.ApolloChoiceModelling.com/manual.html. This contains detailed descriptions of the various Apollo functions, and numerous examples are available at http://www.ApolloChoiceModelling.com/examples.html. In addition, help files are available for all functions, using e.g. ?apollo_mnl
- Before asking a question on the forum, users are kindly requested to follow these steps:
- Check that the same issue has not already been addressed in the forum - there is a search tool.
- Ensure that the correct syntax has been used. For any function, detailed instructions are available directly in Apollo, e.g. by using ?apollo_mnl for apollo_mnl
- Check the frequently asked questions section on the Apollo website, which discusses some common issues/failures. Please see http://www.apollochoicemodelling.com/faq.html
- Make sure that R is using the latest official release of Apollo.
- Users can check which version they are running by entering packageVersion("apollo").
- Then check what is the latest full release (not development version) at http://www.ApolloChoiceModelling.com/code.html.
- To update to the latest official version, just enter install.packages("apollo"). To update to a development version, download the appropriate binary file from http://www.ApolloChoiceModelling.com/code.html, and install the package from file
- If the above steps do not resolve the issue, then users should follow these steps when posting a question:
- provide full details on the issue, including the entire code and output, including any error messages
- posts will not immediately appear on the forum, but will be checked by a moderator first. This may take a day or two at busy times. There is no need to submit the post multiple times.

Re: Identify respondents in Latent class logit model
Based on this, I guess the probabilities can be collected from the code conditionals = apollo_conditionals(model,apollo_probabilities, apollo_inputs) Then, for example, the probability for respondent ID8 is ID X1 X2 8 8.136859e-03 9.918631e-01 We could say that the respondent ID8 mostly belongs to ...

Model estimation results different
Dear Prof. Hess, Is there any update in codes of Apollo? I use the same csv sheet and the same coding but having different results. I updated my apollo package recently and I run my previous files. However, they give different results in latent class model with covariates. It would be great if you u...

Re: Bootstrap estimation
Hi all, I want to use bootstrap estimation in order to analyze the statistical accuracy for parameter estimates of latent class models. I want to check the confidence intervals for the parameters of the LCMs, based on parametric bootstrap. As a result of the bootstrap estimation of the LCM example, ...

Re: Latent Class Analysis with Nested Logit Model
Sincerely thank you very much Sir.
It is obviously seen that I need to reconsider the structure.
I will deeply examine your words. They mean a lot to me.
Best regards.

Re: Latent Class Analysis with Nested Logit Model
Dear Prof. Hess, Yes you are right it is not sequential but we try to get a sequential model which is presented the linked papers (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.tre.2008.07.001 , https://doi.org/10.1016/j.tourman.2011.01.017). Papers show what I want to do in my modelling structure. I merged the locatio...

Latent Class Analysis with Nested Logit Model
Dear Prof. Hess, First of all, I hope you are good, safe and sound. I want to create a model by using latent class analysis with nested logit model as the structure of the model is presented below. The research question of the study is whether individuals decide the transportation mode at first then...
